| Our story dates back to the beginning of the last century, when a young man named Adolf Portmann was barely able to explore his scientific curiosity due to insufficient resources and a lack of encouragement for young talent. The experiences of the biologist from Basel, who later found fame, prompted him to take on the chairmanship of the first national Schweizer Jugend forscht competition in 1967 at the age of 70. He founded the foundation of the same name in 1970. | |
